Connect Drips to Claude
Drips works inside Claude as a connector. It is invite-only for now: ask for an invite.
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, then Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it Drips and give it the address
https://dirigolabs.io/api/mcp/drips. Leave sign-in on Sign in now and Register automatically. - Click Connect. Enter your email, type the six-digit code we send you, and choose Allow.
That is the only sign-in. Claude remembers it, and Drips remembers where you are.
What to say
You never need special commands. Talk to Claude normally; these are the kinds of things that work.
- “What drips are there?”Lists the drips, and where you are in each.
- “Give me my next Algebra drop.”One idea, then one question. Claude stops and waits for you.
- “I think it’s because the ending marks the subject.”Answer in your own words. Claude grades it, tells you what was right and the one correction.
- “How am I doing in Latin?”Your lesson, your drop, lessons done, and what is coming back.
- “How does Drips work?”Claude explains Drips and points you here.
How a drop works
A drip is a course: Algebra, Latin. A drop is one piece of it, about two minutes.
- One idea, about 150 words. Claude teaches it in its own words, but only from the drip’s syllabus, where every rule, number and form is pinned. It never makes up a fact.
- One question. You answer by producing the answer, not by picking from options.
- A grade with one correction. Claude checks your answer against the drop’s answer key, which it doesn’t show you until you have answered.
- One at a time. If you leave a question unanswered, the same drop is waiting next time, in any chat.
Progress and warm-ups
- Misses come back. A question you get wrong returns as a warm-up every third answer, ahead of new teaching.
- Two clean answers retire it. Get a warm-up right twice and it stops coming back.
- A lesson is done when every question in it has been answered right, the first time or on a warm-up. The drip moves on after a lesson’s last drop either way.
- Your place is kept between chats and devices, because it is stored with your account, not in the chat.
There are no streaks to keep and no points. Drips tests rather than reviews: retrieving an answer is what makes it stick.
The drips
More drips run inside Dirigo Labs today (cell towers, foundry, AI and the liberal arts, jam theory) and will come to the connector. You can also make your own.
Make your own drip
Ask Claude for a drip on anything, and it builds one for you to approve. Share links, files or notes in the chat and it uses those as sources; otherwise it drafts from what it knows and says so.
- “Make me a drip on how espresso extraction works, from these notes.”Claude drafts the lessons, every fact pinned to where it came from.
- “Make it four lessons, for a home cook.”A taster is 4 lessons, a course 12, a deep dive 24.
- You approve it. Claude shows you the lessons, anything it couldn’t source, and any place your sources disagree. Nothing is taught until you say yes.
- It’s yours. A drip you make is private to you, and taught exactly like the others: drops, warm-ups, progress.
- Your Claude does the writing, in your chat. Drips checks the draft and keeps it.
- Up to ten drips for now, free while Drips is invite-only.
Your account and data
- Sign-in is by email: we send a six-digit code, and there is no password.
- What we keep: your email; for each drip, where you are, which questions you got right, and a short note on the ones you missed so they can come back; and the drips you make, with their lessons, pinned facts and the names and links of their sources.
- What we don’t see: your conversations with Claude. Drips only receives what Claude sends its tools: which drip you asked for, and your answers to its questions.
- What Claude sees: the drop it asked for, including the answer key it grades with, and your progress. Nothing else in your account.
- To delete everything, tell us and we will remove your account and progress.
Disconnect
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, then Drips, and choose Disconnect. Your progress stays with your account, so reconnecting picks up where you left off.
